Program Period

August 1 - October 31, 2026

Only verified referrals submitted and resulting in qualifying new memberships during the recruitment program period will be eligible for referral recognition awards.

Recognition Awards

Virginia Farm Bureau is committed to recognizing members who help strengthen the organization through member recruitment.

Participants may earn referral recognition awards based on verified referral milestones established by Virginia Farm Bureau.

Recognition opportunities may include:

  • Certificates
  • Commemorative items
  • Branded merchandise
  • Special recognition opportunities
  • Convention recognition
  • Other forms of appreciation determined by Virginia Farm Bureau

Recognition opportunities may be modified, substituted, or adjusted based on participation levels, availability, and program administration needs.

Recognition items have no cash value and are not redeemable for cash.

Virginia Farm Bureau and its affiliates make no warranties regarding products or services obtained through the referral recognition awards program and are not liable for supplier issues.

Virginia Farm Bureau Ambassador Dinners

Special Recognition Opportunity

Virginia Farm Bureau Ambassador Dinners are one example of a special recognition opportunity that may be offered as part of the Member Recruitment Recognition Program.

These regional events are planned for 2027 and are intended to recognize members who help grow membership and provide an opportunity for qualifying members and newly referred members to:

  • Meet Virginia Farm Bureau President Scott Sink and other Farm Bureau leaders
  • Learn more about Virginia Farm Bureau's mission and impact
  • Connect with fellow members who are helping grow the organization
  • Explore opportunities for greater involvement in Farm Bureau
  • Be recognized for helping grow membership across the commonwealth

Additional information, event locations, and invitation details will be announced following the conclusion of the program period.

Frequently Asked Questions

Participation is open to current Virginia Farm Bureau members.

Virginia Farm Bureau employees and their immediate family members are encouraged to participate in the program but are not eligible for referral recognition awards.

Virginia Farm Bureau reserves the right to verify member standing and eligibility prior to awarding referral recognition.

To receive a referral recognition award, the referring member must complete the official referral submission form.

The referral submission form must be submitted by the referring member and must include:

  • Referring member name, email address, and county Farm Bureau
  • New member name and email address
  • Any additional information required by Virginia Farm Bureau

Referral recognition awards may not be earned if the referral cannot be verified.

A qualifying referral occurs when:

  • A current Virginia Farm Bureau member personally refers a prospective member.
  • The prospective member joins a county Farm Bureau during the program period.
  • The referring member completes the official referral submission form, including the new member's email address for verification.

And

  • Virginia Farm Bureau verifies both the referral submission and the resulting membership.

Renewals, reinstated memberships, transfers between memberships, duplicate referrals, and memberships otherwise determined ineligible by Virginia Farm Bureau do not qualify for referral recognition awards.

Yes. Members are encouraged to refer multiple prospective members.

Virginia Farm Bureau's determination regarding referral eligibility and verification shall be final.

All program decisions made by Virginia Farm Bureau shall be final.
