Hanover County grain and hay producer Leigh H. Pemberton of Doswell was elected to a third term on the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation board of directors in December 2021.

He chairs both the VFBF Dairy Advisory Committee and VFBF Governance Committee, and is vice chair of the organization’s Legislative Advisory Committee. He also is a member of the VFBF Executive Committee.

A third-generation farmer, Pemberton is president of Hanover County Farm Bureau and a member of the Virginia Agribusiness Council and U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. He also is chair of the Hanover-Caroline Soil and Water Conservation District board, and a member of the Virginia Soil and Water Conservation Board.
