Thomas N. Henley
Young Farmer’s Committee Chair
Goochland County farmer Thomas N. Henley was elected to a two-year term as chair of the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers Committee in December 2024. The Young Farmers Committee chair also serves on the VFBF board of directors.
Henley farms full-time at his family’s multi-generational dairy and grain operation in Goochland. He also owns a septic tank manufacturing company with his father. He was involved in 4-H as a youth and was a founding member of the Goochland Livestock 4-H Club.
He holds an associate’s degree in agricultural technology from Virginia Tech.
Henley has been active in the VFBF Young Farmers Program for many years, and serves on the Goochland County Farm Bureau board of directors.
He and his wife, Rachel, have represented farmers in Albemarle, Fluvanna, Goochland, Greene, Hanover, Henrico and Louisa counties on the VFBF Young Farmers Committee, and they placed third in the 2023 American Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers Excellence in Agriculture Award competition. They reside in Goochland with their two young children.
